Seal Beach

Seal Beach is home to nearly 25,000 residents. The City is home to the Boeing Company Integrated Defense System International Headquarters, Leisure World retirement community, the 5,000 acre U.S. Naval Weapons Station and National Wildlife Refuge.

Seal Beach’s 1.5 miles of sandy beach and public fishing pier attract millions of visitors each year. Quaint Main Street and other shopping centers provide a variety of shopping experiences for residents and tourists alike.  Main Street has much to offer such as antiques, jewelry, novelties, hardware, art, clothing, seashells and more.   Main Street also offers excellent restaurants, coffee houses, sandwiches, snacks, ice cream etc.

Access to the City is via Freeways 405, 22 and 605 as well as Highway 1 (PCH) which runs along the West Coast and the beautiful Pacific Ocean.  Air transportation and scheduled flights are conveniently nearby at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX), John Wayne Airport (SNA) and Long Beach Airport.

Seal Beach is lovingly known by the locals as “Mayberry by the Sea” and features a multitude of wonderful community events and a qualify lifestyle.

Seal Beach is located central to the Orange County and the Los Angeles job market at the beach between Huntington Beach’s Huntington Harbour to the East and Naples/Belmont Shore Areas of Long Beach to the West. Seal Beach is a south facing Beach in Orange County.

Seal Beach is a residential community located along the California coastline at the southwestern corner of Orange County, approximately twenty miles southeast of Los Angeles. It has a rich history which can be traced back for two centuries to 1784, when the area was included in Rancho Los Alamitos, a Spanish land grant.

Incorporated in 1915, the City has operated under its own Charter since 1964. Its elected five-memeber City Council and appointed City Manager oversee the providing of all major municipal services. Southland area attractions are close at hand within short commuting distances.
